Website privacy notice

What the LoggerFlex website keeps when you send a form or use the chat, for how long, and the outside services involved: Crisp, the AI assistant and Cloudflare.

This notice explains what the LoggerFlex website (www.loggerflex.com) does with what you send through its forms and chat, what it keeps and for how long, and which outside services help run the site. The LF Cloud app (app.loggerflex.com) has its own privacy policy. Last updated: October 14, 2026.

Who we are

LoggerFlex Smart Devices Ltd., 2-3304 Cambie St., Vancouver, BC V5Z 2W5, Canada. For any question about this notice or about your information, email support@loggerflex.com or call 1-888-365-8880.

What you send through a form

Our forms are the contact and quote form, the water quality configurator, the distributor account setup form and the option to email a conversation from the AI assistant. What you type is sent to our team as an email. Depending on the form, it can include:

  • your name, email address, phone number and company
  • your role, region, expected yearly volume, number of monitoring points and timeline
  • the product, page or button the request came from, the first page you opened and the kind of website that sent you (see below), and your answer to “How did you first hear about LoggerFlex?”
  • your message, the options you chose in the water quality configurator, or the AI assistant conversation
  • for account setup: billing and shipping addresses, tax number, and purchasing and accounts-payable contacts

How we use it and who sees it

We use it to answer you, prepare a quote, open your account or support your devices. Our sales, partner and support staff read it. If an authorized distributor serves your area, we may pass your request to that distributor so it can quote or support you. We do not sell it.

The emails stay in our team mailboxes as business records; we have not set a fixed period after which they are deleted.

If you tick “Email me news and offers”, we also keep the fact that you agreed, the exact text you saw and the time, and we may send you news and offers by email until you unsubscribe. If you leave it unticked, we use your details only to answer your request.

The lead log

Each time someone sends a form, our web server also writes one line to a lead log, so we can count requests and see which pages and kinds of websites bring them. The log is kept on our web server, outside the public website, and only our staff can read it. It holds no name, email address, phone number, company, message, IP address or browser details. Failed and blocked attempts are logged the same way, so we notice quickly when a form stops working. We delete each month's log 24 months after that month ends. Each line holds only:

  • a random reference number, also shown in the subject of the email our team receives, so the two can be matched
  • the date and hour (UTC)
  • which form was used, the type of request, which team mailbox received it, and whether the email went out
  • the button or link that opened the form, and the product it was about, if any
  • the first page you opened on our site in that visit, the kind of website that sent you there (see below), and whether the page had noted them
  • your answer to “How did you first hear about LoggerFlex?”, if you gave one
  • the size of the project in broad bands (yearly volume, number of monitoring points, timeline) and, for a temperature-mapping request, the reason for the study
  • yes or no: whether the email address belongs to a company rather than a free email service (the address and its domain are not kept)
  • whether the request was one of our own tests

Which website sent you

When you first open a page of our site, the page notes in its memory the address of that first page and the kind of website that sent you: a search engine (for example Google or Bing), an AI assistant (for example ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, Gemini or Claude), an online ad (from the ad click code in the link), an email, social media, another website, or a direct visit. It works this out from the referring website and any campaign tags or ad click code in the link.

This stays in the page's memory only: no cookie or browser storage is used, and it is gone when you close or reload the tab. It is sent only if you send a form, and then only the kind of website (such as “search engine: Google”) and the path of the first page are sent, never the full address of the website you came from.

Live chat (Crisp)

The chat bubble is provided by Crisp IM SAS, a chat service based in France. A few seconds after a page opens, or as soon as you scroll, click or move the mouse, your browser loads the chat from Crisp. Crisp then receives your IP address and the page you are on, and stores a cookie and similar data in your browser so a conversation can continue from page to page. What you type in the chat, and any name or email address you give there, is kept in our Crisp inbox so our team can answer; we have not set a fixed period for deleting these conversations. Crisp's privacy policy: https://crisp.chat/en/privacy/

AI assistant

The AI assistant answers from our help articles. To write an answer, your question and the last few messages of the conversation go through our server to OpenRouter, an AI service that passes them to the language model that writes the reply. Please do not type personal or confidential information in it.

Your browser keeps the last 30 messages on your device so the conversation is still there when you come back; the Clear button erases them. They reach our team only if you email the conversation to us from the assistant. If you use voice, your browser's own speech recognition turns your speech into text, and some browsers (such as Chrome) do this with the browser maker's online service.

Cloudflare and our web server

Our website is delivered through Cloudflare, Inc., which protects it from attacks and delivers pages quickly. To do this, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the details of each request, and it may set a cookie needed for security. Cloudflare's privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/

Like most web servers, ours records each request (IP address, page, referring page, browser type and time) in technical logs. We use them to keep the site secure, fix problems and count visits per page and per kind of referring website; those counts are totals only. We have not set a fixed period for keeping these technical logs. To stop abuse of the forms and the AI assistant, the server also counts the requests from each IP address over 10-minute periods; the address is kept only as a one-way code made with a secret key (a keyed hash), and each count is deleted once its 10 minutes are over. The distributor map also loads its world map outline from jsDelivr, a public file-delivery network.

Cookies and browser storage

Our own pages set no cookies, and this website does not use Google Analytics, advertising tags or session recording. Your browser keeps a few things for this site on your device: your language and light or dark theme, the information banners you closed, and the AI assistant conversation. We do not receive them, apart from the AI assistant messages described above. Crisp and Cloudflare may set their own cookies, as described above. You can remove all of it by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent to news and offers at any time. Write to support@loggerflex.com.

The lead log holds no name or contact details, so we cannot find you in it by name. If you give us the reference number of your request, or the email address you used so we can find the reference in our mailbox, we can delete that line.

Changes to this notice

If the website starts handling information differently, we will update this notice and the date at the top.
