Patented ultra-low-power architecture
US Patent 11,455,877 B2 protects the ultra-low-power design behind battery life of up to 3 years on 4 AA batteries on WiFi models (up to 2 years on cellular), and US patent application US 2025/0085705 A1 is pending. This is why a LoggerFlex device can sit in a freezer, a vaccine fridge or a remote pumphouse for years and keep reporting, without frequent battery swaps, wiring or routine site visits.
No-gateway WiFi and global cellular
EDGE and BLOCK devices connect directly to ordinary WiFi, and cellular EDGE models to a built-in eSIM that reaches 170+ countries, with no proprietary gateway, hub or bridge. Removing the gateway removes a single point of failure and an entire IT project. Devices report from the edge straight to the cloud, so deployment is plug-and-play.
Security and NIST traceability
Device data travels over SSL/TLS (TLS 1.3 on the platform), Bluetooth (BLE) data is encrypted with AES-256, and LF Cloud adds multi-factor authentication, role-based access control and daily database backups kept in two locations. Digital NIST-traceable calibration certificates are stored in the cloud and linked to each probe's ID, supporting FDA 21 CFR Part 11 audits. Data from every device goes directly to our servers in Canada.
Trend alarms, APIs and platform reliability
Trend drift detection compares readings against their own history to flag gradual degradation, turning raw signals into early warnings. Well-documented Pull and Push APIs let you retrieve sensor data and receive alarm webhooks for custom integrations, on infrastructure run for a 99% uptime target.
