Every device starts with a full year of Premium, free. Here is what happens after that, what each plan includes, and how text and phone-call alarms are paid for.
Year one is on us
Every device includes one year of Premium, free. The year starts the day you activate the device, not the day you bought it.
Wi-Fi or cellular, the first twelve months are full Premium: full history, advanced reports and team sharing. Push and email alerts are free on every device and every plan, in year one and after it.
Wi-Fi or cellular decides what comes next
- Wi-Fi devices: after year 1 they roll over to the Free Standard Tier automatically, with nothing to cancel. Upgrade to Premium at any time for $2/month or $24/year.
- Cellular devices: from year 2 a paid subscription of $3/month or $36/year keeps the device active. It includes Premium and an unlimited global data plan.
- Cellular devices ask for payment details at registration so the service never lapses. Nothing is charged until the first year ends.

Live readings and alarms work on both tiers. Moving to Free Standard never removes anyone you already shared a device with.
Four ways to hear about an alarm
- Push notification: free on every plan.
- Email: free on every plan.
- Text message (SMS): 2 cents per message, paid from prepaid alarm credit.
- Phone call: 5 cents per automated voice call, paid from prepaid alarm credit.

Every device comes with $5 of free credit for texts and phone calls. That is 250 text messages, or 100 phone calls, or any mix of the two.
Top up at any time from your profile page in the LoggerFlex app. If the balance reaches zero, text and voice alerts stop, but free email and push notifications keep coming.
All prices are per device, in Canadian dollars (CAD). EDGE Lite is the exception: it includes a 2-month Premium trial and $1 of alarm credit, and it stops sending alarms if Premium is not purchased.

Are email and push alerts really free?
Yes. App push notifications and email alerts are free for every device, whatever its plan.
How much do text and phone-call alarms cost?
A text message (SMS) costs 2 cents and a phone call 5 cents, paid from prepaid credit. Every device comes with $5 of free credit, which covers 250 text messages.
