It runs on USB-C power with 4×AA battery backup and automatic rollover, so if mains power fails the device carries on and sends a power-loss notice at its next recording; a WiFi model can only send it while the router still has power. The cellular version connects to WiFi first and falls back to LTE automatically, which keeps a pharmacy refrigerator reporting even when the router is off.

NIST-traceable calibration that lives with the sensor

Each EDGE Pharma sensor carries its own unique 8-digit serial number and digital NIST-traceable calibration certificate, which you can look up in LF Cloud or by scanning the QR code on the sensor. The sensor is the calibrated component, not the EDGE device: when a certificate expires you replace the sensor rather than send the device to a lab, and EDGE devices show certificate validity on screen and send reminders before and after expiry.

Audit records are signed and cannot be altered, access is controlled per user, and LF Cloud retains tamper-evident data for regulatory audits and inspections. EDGE Pharma probes ship with NIST-traceable calibration certificates.

How do you handle calibration for GxP and cold-chain audits?

Every LoggerFlex sensor is calibrated against NIST-traceable references and ships with a certificate. We support recurring recalibration on the schedule your quality system requires, and calibration records are stored alongside your data in LF Cloud so they are available during audits.

Will alarms reach us if the internet or power goes down?

Yes. LoggerFlex cellular models combine no-gateway WiFi with built-in global cellular, so if your network drops the device keeps reporting over cellular. Alarms are sent by SMS, email, and push, and the patented battery (up to 3 years on WiFi models, up to 2 years on cellular) keeps monitoring running through power outages.

Where is our temperature and excursion data stored?

LF Cloud servers are only in Canada (Montreal), and data from every device goes directly to them. TLS transport encryption and a timestamped activity log that users cannot edit or delete are part of the offer for regulated pharmaceutical buyers.
