    • Log in to your account. The system will automatically detect new users and open the first device registration page.
    • If the page does not appear, you can manually access the device registration wizard by clicking the + icon in the top-left corner of the page.

    • The system will guide you through the installation process with simple, step-by-step questions.

 

Installation Notes

  1. Temperature Considerations

    • For environments below -10°C (14°F), use a device with an external temperature probe.
      (The probe supports temperatures from -55°C to +125°C).

  2. Placement in Fridges or Walk-Ins

    • Install the device on the wall closest to the router, above racks and food level, for the best signal.

  3. Signal Optimization

    • Position the front or back of the device (not the sides) facing the router for optimal signal strength.

  4. Set Up in Final Location

    • Always connect the device to WiFi in its final installation spot to avoid connection issues.

  5. Coverage

    • One device covers a micro-climate zone of up to 10 feet radius (depending on ventilation and airflow).

  6. Battery Requirements

Energy Efficiency

Unlike most WiFi devices that drain batteries quickly, Bun's patented algorithm minimizes power consumption by syncing smartly:

  • Syncing Intervals: Regularly scheduled uploads.
  • Alarm Criteria: Immediate sync if parameters exceed limits for a set delay time.

Operation Overview

  1. Bun records data based on your chosen recording interval.
  2. If a parameter exceeds its defined range, the device waits for the "If Persist" delay time.
  3. If still out-of-bounds, it syncs the data to the cloud and sends notifications (email, SMS, phone call).
  4. While parameters remain out-of-range, Bun will resync hourly and notify you until values normalize.

When parameters remain within bounds, the device conserves battery by syncing only at scheduled intervals. This ensures prolonged battery life.

    • Hourly syncing: Battery lasts ~2 months.
